Hahnenkamm Poster Competition Winner Is a Familiar Face
For the second time since 2024, the winner of the Hahnenkamm Races Poster Competition comes from Georgia. Lasha Inashvili prevailed over 285 other entries, impressing the jury with an extraordinary folded poster design.
The announcement of this year's winner in the Hahnenkamm Races Poster Competition – organised jointly by Kitzbühel Ski Club and the BTV Vier Länder Bank (BTV) – came as a surprise to many. "It also demonstrates the independence of our jury, as we do not know the names of the entrants beforehand," said Organising Committee Chairman Michael Huber during the official presentation at the Starthaus on Thursday morning. "We have a repeat winner – proving that true quality is never a coincidence but continues to inspire time and again. Congratulations, Lasha Inashvili," announced Peter Kofler, Head of Private Banking Germany Kitzbühel at BTV, before unveiling the winning poster.
Lasha Inashvili from Georgia had already won the competition in 2024. His previous design featured a rooster's comb gliding down the Streif. This year's winning entry is a so-called Red Folded Poster. It took dozens of attempts before the design met his own exacting standards. "To ensure that viewers could recognise the geometric rooster, I broke with the principle of purity and cut the overlapping letters 'HKR' into the rooster's eye."
A total of 286 designs were submitted by 138 artists from Europe, Asia and North America. "One thing becomes very clear," said Peter Kofler. "The Hahnenkamm is not only the world's most famous and most challenging downhill race, but also a source of inspiration for artists from across the globe. Kitzbühel Ski Club and BTV have enjoyed a close partnership spanning many decades. Unveiling the winning poster together is always one of the highlights of the year and a real pleasure for us."
As well as securing his second victory, Lasha Inashvili receives prize money totalling €7,000 and an invitation to attend the 2027 Hahnenkamm Races – an invitation he is delighted to accept once again. His first visit to Kitzbühel in 2024 remains a particularly fond memory. "When I finally experienced everything in person – the atmosphere, this vibrant and authentic sporting festival on such a grand scale, set in the small, charming and almost fairy-tale town of Kitzbühel – I simply fell in love."
Anyone wishing to experience that unique atmosphere for themselves in 2027 can purchase tickets from 1 July via the webshop. Grandstand, zone and group tickets will be available exclusively through the ticket office from that date via ticket@hahnenkamm.com.
Lasha Inashvili's winning poster will be available from autumn at BTV branches and from the Kitzbühel Ski Club. All net proceeds from sales will support the K.S.C.'s young winter sports athletes.
The Poster Competition for the 2028 Hahnenkamm Races also opens on 1 July. Entries may be submitted until 30 August 2026 via poster@hahnenkamm.com.
