In his 8th start, Karl Schranz (AUT) celebrates his 1st victory in downhill and combined and sets a new course record with 2:16.63 (the first time under 2:20.00).
The guests of honor get a grandstand with radiant heaters and armchairs from the town hall, the reason is the application for the World Cup for 1970!
