FIS inspection - annual inspection of Streif and Ganslern

It was a dream day, 11 September 2024, for the annual inspection of the Streif and Ganslern Hahnenkamm race courses. In addition to the internal reminders, the on-site hike is an integral part of the year. In a joint discussion, the previous race is remembered and the sporting preparations for the following winter are made as a basis for coordinated planning of the upcoming 85th Hahnenkamm Races.

FIS Chief Race Director Markus Waldner and the Race Directors for Downhill and Slalom were present. For the ORF, thanks to chief director Michael Kögler, as the return of the Super-G after a 3-year break was of course a key topic. The Organising Committee, headed by President Michael Huber and Race Director Mario Mittermayer Weinhandl, was well represented on both days with many other responsible persons in order to be able to coordinate the detailed work areas directly.

All discussions were characterised by mutual respect and thanks for the many years of good cooperation. Everyone is looking forward to the coming winter and hopefully exciting races. The sports programme for the 85th Hahnenkamm Races 2025 can be found here.
